A water-resistant product is a good idea as well. MD Skincare's
Water Resistant Sunscreen with Vitamin C is one such formula. It
comes in both an SPF15 and SPF30 and at the same time helps hydrate
the skin. Remember, though, that's "water-resistant" not
"waterproof". There are no truly waterproof sunscreens.
If a sea mist sprays you, you're probably okay. But take a dip in
the ocean and your protection is effectively gone. So, re-applied
any product between swims and keep in mind that some of the worst
exposure can occur while you are in the water -sunscreen or not.
In summary, enjoy the sun, but don't lose your skin
doing it!
In our next issue, we will look at repair, correction and reversal
of photoaging, including topical products that really work and an
objective look at skin peels at the OTC, spa and medical levels.
